UC Curation Center: Curation Wiki
UC3 is a creative partnership bringing together the expertise and resources of the University of California. Together we provide high quality and cost-effective solutions that enable campus constituencies — museums, libraries, archives, academic departments, research units, and individual researchers — to have direct control over the management, curation, and preservation of the information resources underpinning their scholarly activities.

Digital curation
Digital curation is the set of policies and practices aimed at maintaining and adding value to authentic digital resources for use now and into the future. The curation concepts underlying UC3's activities are described here. UC3 is developing Merritt, an innovative curation infrastructure in which to manage our stakeholders' digital content. The concept of emergent micro-services that informs this infrastructure is described here.

Our Infrastructure: Micro-Services
UC3 services and infrastructure -- including Merritt and EZID -- are based on a design paradigm known as "micro-services," in which a comprehensive body of preservation functions are devolved into a granular set of small, independent, but highly interoperable services.
